Well it depends upon just how much you wish to yield. I begin with a price quote of the series of prospective yield by wattage, by location and by variety of plants. When you have actually transformed your target yield into a grow camping tent size you can then determine the grow light wattage you require. As soon as the target wattage and camping tent size is identified you can pick the very best LED grow light to match your area and wattage requirements. In the quotes I supply there is a series of efficiency which is figured out by a variety of elements: Ability of grower Plant genes Growing conditions i.e. temperature level and humidity control Growing medium i.e. soil/coco/hydro all of these variables will feed into a series of yield efficiency from your grow setup. PS I would not be dissuaded by the claims of 3 to 4 grams per watt online. 1 grams per watt is a great efficiency and 2 grams per watt is remarkable. I navigate 1.5 grams per watt in soil and I am extremely pleased with that. Make sure, Shane Follow us: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/migrolight/. 1. 120 days, cutting to harvest. 2×4 tent, 300watts LED (2ea xs1500 Vipar) 8 plants, 3gal fabrics organic soil grown. Topped once and side branching trained into an even canopy using a net or stakes. Veg for about 5 wk and flip. Heavy defoliation after wk3. This will result in 3 harvests per year given you have cuttings ready to go each harvest. Scale this up by every 2×4 space. Pulling approx 6-8oz per 2×4 each time. (This final harvest will depend on your genetics and management of the canopy.) You decide how many 2×4 tents you can manage. 💚🌱✌️

    1. Just wanted to update that this method resulted in a 14 oz harvest. Dry weight. Fully manicured and jarred. 6-8 was an extremely modest estimate. 😂😂

  2. I run a sealed 4×4 room with co2,,,envirment perfect lights are now 6years old( platinum 600 x2),,,scrog,,,don’t get the yields you say

    1. Hi Bruce,

The lighting you are using is not very efficient and being that they are now 6 years old they would have lost a lot more efficiency.

      Thanks.

  3. With good variation and plants about 1.4m + 16L pot in coco i manage to pull 2.1g/W as my record after 8 days of drying. Normally i manage to make about 1.6-1.7 with my LED mars hydro in 1m x 2m high tent. In my best grow i was using CO2 suplementation.

  4. Your numbers are the right range. I’ve been getting average of 1.35-1.6 oz per sqft in my 5 x 2.5 tent growing 3 plants in 5 gallon pots. Running 400watts of led. About 1.3-1.5gpw. I don’t use co2 but that’s a pretty packed tent

  5. What level in par do you need to keep from going over, to prevent stunted extra-compact growth in early veg from too much light as the plant framework is growing?

  6. A trick to veg out one photoperiod and harvest during the veg is to stick one photoperiod with a bunch of staggered autoflowers. While the photoperiod veg’s out to fill the 4×4 you harvest the autoflowers as they ready to clear up more room for the photoperiod. You might have to take plants out to free up space so need another area to finish an auto or two off every now and then. By the time you harvest the last auto you should have a photoperiod that’s taking up the entire space once trained out.

    1. @Johndoe I didn’t do this just so you know, but the person who did grew fem seeds so no pollinating I believe. Didn’t come across any seeds in the bud.

    2. @Johndoe did you grow out the seeds you got? Roughly how many grew to be auto and how many grew to be photo? If you got any autos, how did they taste? Typical ruderalis BS or like a photoperiod?
      Cool stuff though

  7. Wow I’m doing something seriously wrong then but I don’t know what. I always thought I’ve got things optimal especially with my equipment.

I’ve got a 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.2 high (meters) grow tent with 4x600w spider style Samsung/osram leds to fill the space perfectly. I run an iws 15 pot flood and drain system in 60/40 coco mix. I get 0.8gpw dry and cured and trimmed perfectly

  8. 26in x 56in closet 3 groplanner gp1500s with spider farmer uv30 on each side . 4 5 gallon undergravel filtered buckets with powerheads in each . using blue planet elite plus calmag . on my 3 year with this setup 1st time with theses lights had 2 marshydro ts1000 before . growing c99 cross bluebury fast from seedsman this grow . ive grow sweet seeds bloody skunk was awsome , seedsman lemon , but c99xblueberry was best . have 2 seedsman bubba cheesecake and 2 expert seeds blackberry moonrocks at 6 week flower now . going back to c99 because they are 9 week seed to harvest !!

  9. The problem is you dont have growing experience or you dont have enough growing experience.
But yes you read about growing alot for sure . Yes you do you research yes you studie a lot about lights and about the plants I can see that.
I have been following you from day one.
But you information in this case are not correct they are wrong and your examples are wrong .

You dont need 8 weeks veg for photo period especially when you talk for small spaces .
3 weeks are more than enough or 4 weeks. You dont need 16 weeks to 20 weeks from start to finish this really wrong statement.
About Autos are not twice as fast you have no clue what you talking about in this case that is for sure mate.
Let me make you an example:

We take one of the fastest Auto strains that are ready in 60-70 days from sprouting to harvest and lets compare it with the one of the fastest photo period strains that the need 42-45 days of flowering.

So there is 2 ways to do it and both ways will prove your sayings are not accurate.

You can start the photo period strain under 12-12 hour light it will take about 30 to 45 days max to show gender, plus 45 days flowering you are at 75 to 90 days start to end .This is Max 12 weeks .
If you do 16-8 for 21 days (3 weeks) and then you switch to 12-12 it takes from 7-21 days show the gender .
lets take the max 21 veg days plus 21 days show gender is 42 days plus 45 days flowering is 87 days from start to finish .
So 87 days the photo period vs 70 days the Auto the win in time is obvious for Auto flower is 2,5 weeks faster.
Then we need to compare the end result quality and quantity .
The Auto lose big time in quality and most of the times in quantity.
Now to generalize it : Most of photo period strains will need around 90 to 105 days from start to finish Most of Autolfowering strains will need 70-90 days again the gains in time are 3 to 2 weeks . This is how it goes
