  1. Mars hydro and Spider Famers are even doing fully variable dimming now….why do these so called premium lights not have fully variable and are still only offering 25-50-75-100%. These are powerful lights and they don’t give enough adjustment to find the sweet spot of height and PPFD. for each stage of a grow…..so not to impressed.

    1. Agreed fully variable (analogue) dimming would be nice, but incremental dimming often gets the job done. Plus an exterior controller will give you variable dimming options.

  2. So which white smd3030 and red SMD3536 LED chips does this light exactly have? I cannot find anything on the web…. Which brand? Top bin leds?

I could either get two omega luna pro+ 630w or one of the new lumatek zeus pro 1000w (not the xtreme co2 ppfd). For lighting 1,5mx2,3m… As for the lumatek goes, I know they have 4000K White Diodes Lumileds 3030 HE Plus; and 660nm Red Diodes Osram SQ3.24…

    1. The diodes in the Omega Luna Pro+ are Bridgelux diodes. That’s a tricky layout to light effectively, we would opt for two Luna Pro+ to get a more even coverage, but the Lumatek is a solid option.

    2. @GroWell Horticulture Thank you so much for your reply! But Bridgelux also has different generations of LED grow chips. e.g. V6A – Gen 8, V22D- Gen 7…..

Anyways, I already went for the Lumatek Zeus Pro 1000w. This light covers 2mx1,5m. Maybe I add one or two additional light bars.

Two Omega Luna Pro+ would have had theoretically a better coverage but
with Lumatek I am on the safe side, that the chips are top notch and are super efficient.
I’m a bit wary of the ppf values given by unknown led manufacturers…

Omega lighting should really include the specific chip types in their spec sheets… as we say in Germany, I don’t want to buy the “cat in the sack”

      🙂

Otherwise I would have gone probably for the Omega lights
